Genero Productions have recently completed the production of an 8 minute promotional video for ategi Ltd.
ategi are a registered charity providing a range of support services to people with learning disabilities, mental ill health or other disabilities. The Shared Lives Scheme arranges accommodation and support to vulnerable adults in the homes of specially chosen people living in the community who can offer a home to individuals who want alternatives to residential or hospital care.
The video saw the Genero film crew visiting Shared Lives carers from South Wales and Buckinghamshire to ask them about the process of becoming a Shared Lives Carer and find out how rewarding their work is. We met some wonderful and inspiring individuals, both Carers and Service Users and hope that this video encourages more people to consider becoming a Shared Lives Carer as a career and that more Care Professionals considered the scheme as an alternative for their Service Users. www.ategi.org.uk/sharedlives
