Genero in a competitive tender process was awarded the technical production and event delivery of the Welsh Labour Spring Conference.
Working with Welsh Labour for the first time, Genero was engaged in December 2011 with the task of creatively designing and staging the three day conference in February 2012. The event was attended by over 400 delegates and keynote speeches were presented by Ed Milliband, Leader of the Labour Party and Carwyn Jones, First Minister of Wales.
Genero’s responsibilities included the management of all technical production and audio visual presentation, set and stage construction, auto-cue services, lighting, sound, projection and branding. Event management and logistical responsibilities included; client consultancy, venue liaison, seating plans, as well as liaising and working with BBC Wales to meet their technical requirements for transmitting live broadcasts of the conference.
The event production was heralded as the ‘best ever’ to date and Genero succeeded in delivering the project within budget whilst exceeding client expectations.
