Genero Productions has recently invested in new equipment. The Spyder System, the first in Wales, enables us to provide a super widescreen offering great versatility in dynamic visual effects. Spyder adapts perfectly to project different media at the same time within single and multi-screen applications as well as widescreen using a soft edge-blend technique. It allows an unrestricted window and picture-in-picture (PIP) positioning which enables you have live footage on screen at the same time as your PowerPoint presentation and your event branding.

Spyder creates images of amazing clarity and brightness because it has three times as many pixels of any other presentation system. The preset programming function allows anything from a simple two-state (on/off) preset to more elaborate multi-step builds and motion presets – this is what makes the system so flexible and suitable for any application. The system is so flexible that it can be used for everything from a modest conference to large award evenings, product launches and concerts.

With Spyder, you can create background canvases made of millions of pixels and incorporate live multi-format sources—all onto single or multiple displays. The intuitive software SpyderPoint is very user friendly and simple to operate, allowing us to program and edit as we go.

  • PowerPoint presentations, computer graphics and prerecorded video media onscreen simultaneously
  • Multiple pixel spaces and display devices controlled from one point
  • Multi-source display environments at resolutions that exceed HDTV
  • Digital and analog sources with a variety of resolutions and aspect ratios, displayed at any size, anywhere, seamlessly

Genero have also invested in some new lighting including Clay Paky Alpha Spot 300’s – moving lights. They come complete with a graphic system containing 15 gobos and a rotating prism and have 2 colour wheels. The units offer wide quick pan and tilt movements and operate silently. This particular model is eco-friendly and can be used instead of very much larger and more expensive moving lights.
