For the fifth successive year, Genero were contracted to stage and produce the AV for the "Building a Vision for NHS Wales Conference" at Cardiff City Stadium.
Over time, audience interest in this annual event has vastly grown, so this year for the first time the event was held on split levels; the plenary conference on one floor and the exhibition on the level above.
It's so easy to just repeat what has come before, but at Genero we love to challenge the status quo. We were excited that our client accepted our recommendation to change the location of the event backdrop, moving it to a new aspect within the Ricoh Suite. Their decision was heralded a real success on the day as a solution to issues encountered with sightlines in previous years.
A striking custom-built stage-set was supplied that enabled all 280 delegates full view of the presenters and speaker panel on stage; alongside full presentation content, displayed on two large projection screens.
Comprehensive vision, display, sound & lighting systems were fully installed by the evening before, in preparation for speaker run-throughs beginning bright and early at 7am. Genero provided full AV and technical engineer support throughout the Breakfast Seminar, four parallel run workshops and the main plenary sessions – a really full agenda for a one-day conference.
The Welsh NHS Confederation is a membership body representing all the organisations making up the NHS in Wales: seven Local Health Boards and three NHS Trusts.
Sandra Cummings, Business Manager, Welsh NHS Confederation said: 'Everything from our perspective worked really well and the stage set looked great. We've had our debrief meeting now and received only positive comments about the stage set and AV so thank you!'.
