Genero celebrates with outstanding athletes

Genero support an inspiring event with a glamorous stage set and big screen imagery.

The New Year saw a welcome addition to Wales' social calendar, as the first Disability Sport Wales Awards were hosted at the Vale of Glamorgan hotel; recognising special achievement amongst Wales' best disabled athletes and bringing together the corporate community that support disabled sport in Wales.

Disability Sport Wales who work towards 'Transforming lives through the power of sport' celebrated disabled sport at all levels including community, education and performance. This event was a chance to present outstanding athletes awards, and look ahead to the 2016 Paralympics in Brazil.

Genero built a beautiful set intended to add glamour and a sense of occasion; capitalising on the fabulous venue. We focused on big screen projection and dramatic lighting with DSW's logos projected inside and outside for maximum impact.

Naturally all presenters' and winners' requirements had to be provided for, and extra stage builds were met with the no-problem attitude you'd expect of Genero's professional team.

An exciting line up of awards saw Male and Female Athletes of the Year presented to Aled Sion Davies and Hollie Arnold respectively, alongside GB Pathway athlete Tom Matthews who won Disability Sport Wales Emerging Athlete.

Genero were proud to be associated with this positive and exciting event celebrating Welsh Sport at its finest.
